Testing BleuWhisk inflatable toddler travel bed- Amazon dupe!
Back in 2022 we went viral for our review of the Flyaway Kids Bed inflatable airplane bed. Over a year later, there are plenty of dupes out there trying to cash in on this genius travel bed design for toddlers. We decided to test one of the most popular copycat airplane beds on Amazon! Testing BleuWhisk inflatable toddler travel bed- Amazon dupe!
The material
We took the $89 BleuWhisk inflatable toddler travel bed with us on our latest trip to Australia. (We go there a few times a year to visit my husband’s family! And we always bring an inflatable bed for our toddler Lennox.) We opened the bed up for the first time on the plane and it immediately felt thinner than what I was used to with the $159 Flyaway Kids Bed. It felt more like an inflatable pool from Target rather than a thicker adult air mattress feel.
The BleuWhisk inflatable toddler travel bed comes with a fuzzy felt-like liner on top which felt cozy to the touch but for me was harder to clean when Lennox spilled a billion times during the flight.

The pump
As you can see in the video, the BleuWhisk bed comes with a foot-stand hand pump rather than a hand-to-hand pump which my husband liked better. He felt it was easier to pump with his hand while his foot held the pump on the ground, rather than using both hands to do the pump.
Blowing up the bed
The BleuWhisk bed has 3 separate compartments to blow up the bed, rather than 2 with the Flyaway Kids Bed. While this might sound like more work, my husband said it was easier to do 3 smaller compartments rather than 2 larger ones.
One downside of the BleuWhisk bed is there is no pressure valve on the bed. The Flyaway Kids Bed includes a pressure valve so that it’s easy to adjust the bed to the width of the aisle. All aisles are slightly different sizes (depending on plane and what class you’re in) and often need adjustment if someone reclines their seat in front of you.
Overall, the bed felt very sturdy after blowing it up.
To bumper or not to bumper
This bed comes with a large bumper on both sides of the bed, in theory, so that your kiddo won’t roll out of it when they are sleeping. This might we handy when using for small babies and toddlers, but Lennox is 3-years-old and this just decreased the size of the bed for him and limited his mobility. I think it would be nice to have had a little more space for his large and wiggly body.
The verdict
Overall, we had a good experience with the BleuWhisk bed. Lennox liked using the bed and I think it’s still helpful for sleeping on long flights and also for activities/ playing. Both beds come with carrying travel bags.
