Our Experience using Generation Tux for our Wedding- Generation Tux Reviews

We’re just had our 1st wedding anniversary in April and I’m still reflecting on the entire whirlwind day. It takes a lot of planning and endless decision making but in the end we felt it was all worth it to get our closest friends and family together to celebrate our union.
When it came to his suit or tux, Lockie was not particular about purchasing vs renting a suit for the big day. I knew that I wanted him to wear a suit in a light color that he wouldn’t re-wear often after our wedding so I decided that renting was the way to go. After some rental research I stumbled upon Generation Tux, a suit and tuxedo rental company that seemed like the perfect option for us—a straightforward and convenient process with reasonable prices. Here’s our experience using Generation Tux for our wedding- Generation Tux reviews!
The Process
I really love the easy concept and process of Generation Tux rentals. You build your look online and fill out a questionnaire to determine the right sizing, no measuring tape needed! You can order free swatches if you want to see fabric colors in person. Then you place the order and your suit or tux rental will be sent to you approximately ~14 days before the wedding. That’s enough time to swap out sizes or make alterations to the rental before the big day if needed. After the wedding, you just pop the suit in the mail within 3 days using a pre-labeled bag.
For grooms/wedding couple specifically, Generation Tux will send you the suit or tux to try on month(s) before the wedding, to make sure it’s the right one. I appreciated this added bonus for my husband as I didn’t want to take a gamble on the color or size for him on this important day.
We were so happy with the suit we picked that we decided to use Generation Tux for our groomsmen as well, so they would all match the groom. We had a couple groomsmen flying in from Australia and this allowed them to not worry about bringing a suit on the plane or try to buy a last minute fit here in the US. They simply put their measurements into the online form and we had their suits shipped to us so they were here in time for the wedding.
The Selection
The icing on the cake and main reason that we decided to use Generation Tux was (not only the seamless process) was the suit and tux color selection. They have a generous amount (over 25 styles!) of modern and desirable suit and tux colors. I was picky about the color of the groom’s suit and wanted a true cement grey. They had exactly what we were looking for and tons of tie color options to pick from to go with it. You also have the option to rent a white shirt, vest, cummerbunds, different tie styles, cufflinks and more if you like.
We ultimately decided on the Generation Tux Cement Grey Suit for the groom and groomsmen, with the groom adding a vest for a bit of differentiation. We wanted the groom to stand out even more, so we opted for slightly different tie colors. The groom wore this Latte Pre-Tied Tie and the groomsmen wore this Champagne Pre-Tied Tie. In the end, we were super happy with the final looks.
The Price
The pricing is pretty fair, especially if you use my 20% off code! (See below for more details). The suit and tuxedo rental prices vary slightly between styles but most are about $150 per suit and $10 per tie. For the wide color options, endless accessories and easy process I think this price is well worth considering when choosing a suit or tuxedo for your wedding ceremony.
Enjoy 20% off for the entire wedding party using my discount code “BPMISTYKINGMA” at checkout using this link. And if you book for 5 or more rentals total, the groom will get his suit FREE!
Bonus Tips
Tip 1- Book for the family too. My Mom was so envious of our Generation Tux rentals that she booked a rental for my Dad and brother as well!
Tip 2- If you schedule your free home try-on months before the big day be sure to take into account any potential sizing differences the groom may have on the big day.
Happy tux shopping! If you use Generation Tux for your wedding, I’d love to hear how it goes. I hope you enjoyed reading our experience using Generation Tux for our wedding- Generation Tux reviews!
