How to wrap gifts for toddlers!

Yes, that’s a thing. I recently saw a hack video online for how to wrap a gift so a toddler or young kid can easily open it…and I had to try it! My sweet 2-year-old Lennox has struggled to open wrapped gifts so this was a no brainer. Here’s how to wrap gifts for toddlers!

Pssst the secret: a built-in pull tab. And spoiler, it actually works. (I tested it myself!) So here’s how it’s done. Watch my Reel on Instagram here or follow along for step-by-step directions below.

Step 1: Measure and cut your wrapping paper like normal and grab a gift label

You’re not going to write on the gift label, but rather, use it as the pull tab on the front of the gift.

Step 2: Attach the label to one side of paper, sticky side down. Then, put a piece of tape over it and run it lengthwise over the paper.

This, is the secret sauce.

Step 3: Leave the tab sticking out and finish wrapping the gift

VOILA! Your kid-friendly wrapping is complete. See above, how easy it is to pull the tab and unwrap the gift. It really does work so well. And doing the wrapping doesn’t take that many extra steps. A label and some tape- that’s it!

Would you try this? Or do you think toddlers and young kids should learn to open gifts themselves? Tell me below!
