5 Unusual Things I’m Doing While in Self Quarantine

Born for self quarantine
I’m a homebody. I’ve been training for this self-quarantine life for a few years now. When I made the decision to move from Los Angeles to Denver in 2016 I was looking to “settle down” and start nesting. I love staying home! And even more-so since Lockie and I bought our first home together in November.
So naturally, I’m making the most of this social distancing time at home! It’s time to do ALLLL those things you want to do, but never had time to tackle. Mother Nature is challenging us to stay home, we got this you guys! I’m sharing 5 things I’m doing at home while self-quarantined.

Activities I’m doing while quarantined
- Selling my old clothes on Poshmark. It’s the perfect time to clean out your closet and make some $$$ in the process. People will be shopping online now more than ever now, seeing as going into physical stores is actually not an option.
- Testing a NO deodorant phase. Like me, you’ve probably heard lots recently about how unsafe your deodorant may be. I’ve been hearing about people who’ve stopped wearing deodorant altogether or are trying “cleaner” options. I’m going full hippie right now and testing out this “no deodorant” thing…hey…maybe my body will start producing more natural deodorizer?!?!
- Clearing off my computer desktop. Ahhh the age-old trap of storing everything on your computer desktop for easy access. It’s time to clear that space and in turn, I bet you’ll notice a clearer mind. It’s amazing how that stuff works.
- Organizing my jewelry. I don’t know about you, but I’ve accumulated a stupid amount of jewelry over the years. (It doesn’t help that my twin sis Jenna is an amazing designer!) It’s time to preserve your favorites pieces or get rid of ones you won’t wear anymore. Hint: based on my experience the best way to preserve your jewelry is to house each piece in a zip lock baggie to avoid oxidation. (With the exception of pearls which need to breathe.)
- Going all in on my hobbies. What better time to cultivate your at-home hobbies than RIGHT NOW? For me, I love making content and working on my blog. I’m taking time to learn about SEO and stage some in-home photoshoots. That creative outlet is more important than ever.
