I thought of this quote when I was listening to Macklemore and Ryan Lewis’ new single, Downtown.
The song is so out there, weird, fresh, and awesome that it utterly inspired me. I was thinking that in the realm of today’s culture, the weirder the better. Hence, Weird Is King.
Audiences are looking for and praising movies, TV, and music that is somehow unique and different. It seems perfect icons are no longer desired. We want real.
