The Bachelor Premiere Recap- Chris Soules

Prince Farming has arrived. And with a few noticeable changes from your fav guilty pleasure show: The Bachelor.

Let the farming-dating analogies begin! Rural Iowa farmer Chris Soules is trying to find the love of his life on TV since his hometown has a population of… 400.

We enter the first hour of three with Chris Harrison interviewing past Bachelor contestants on a red carpet. Is it just me or is this new?

Then in probably the most talked about part of the red carpet countdown, Juan Pablo’s ex fiance Nikki Ferrell, talked about why she broke up with America’s most hated Bachelor. In a super drawn out awkward interview EVER, Chris Harrison asked her the same question over and over again. Or was it her answers that were repetitive? I can’t remember. Nikki went on and on about how they both tried really hard but their lifestyles didn’t mesh. She was definitely hiding some details about their break up here.

Now onto the second hour. We were treated to a couple shirtless shower moments and Chris going shopping. The vlog style dressing room scenes were a new approach for the show. Not complaining here.

The limo meetings. We got a “free hug” note, a fake heart in a cooler, girl in daisy dukes instead of a ballgown, teddy bear, and a secret admirer. There was only 15 girls so everyone was confused when Chris went inside to get to know the hopefuls. In the most interesting conversation of the night Chris ALMOST kissed one of the girls, Britt, who obviously got the first impression rose later. And then they kissed.

But then in the third hour, Chris told Chris that there’s more girls coming. Oh, you sneaky show. 15 more gals to be exact. In the new round of limo greetings we are treated to a motorcycle entrance, pig nose, and a karaoke singer.

Finally, in a overly teased rose ceremony Chris exits midway due to his “anxiety” (uh, I don’t blame him). He returns to give both insanely drunk girls a rose (Tara, Ashley). Apparently Chris likes them wild and I can’t wait for next week.
