I tried bulletproof coffee

I tried bulletproof coffee

So it’s definitely an acquired taste.

For some reason I was expecting this heightened form of coffee to be sweet. It is not.

I tried Erewhon’s form of Bulletproof Coffee here in Los Angeles. 12oz for $5.00 and 20oz for $6.00.

So naturally I got the 20oz.

And I had a hard time finishing it.

It’s filling, rich, and does taste a bit like butter.

Although contrary to popular accord, Erewhon’s version does not have actual butter in it.

Ingredients: ghee, Bulletproof coffee beans, and MCT oil (a concentrated version of the fat found in palm and coconut oils).

BTW Erewhon also sells Bulletproof Smoothies and Ice Cream.

Adding saturated fats to your coffee supposedly gives you a longer boost of energy and aids in weight loss.

(But my stomach feels funky right now. And I feel hungry.)

Naturally the reason I wanted to try this drink, was Jimmy Fallon.

I need to mention there are different recipes for “Bulletproof Coffee” and you CAN make it at home. There’s even an entire BRAND of Bulletproof coffee which boasts zero toxins, see below.
