Beyonce served us cold hard #LEMONADE to be true to HERSELF

Beyonce's "Lemonade" album message explained!

When Beyonce started teasing her HBO special dubbed “Lemonade” we really had NO IDEA what she was talking about.

We knew it was a visual piece. And that an album was supposedly in the works based on her “Formation” release and upcoming tour of the same name.

What Queen B dropped on April 23, 2016 was an hour long visual to go along with her (surprise-ish) album Lemonade.

But we still didn’t know what the heck Lemonade meant. And after watching her HBO special, it’s now swarovski-crystal-lemonade-glass-clear.

When life hands you lemons, you make lemonade. An age old phrase.

But it has new meaning here: when a man cheats on you, you CAN take him back and heal… when the things affected by the adultery are greater than the adultery itself. Such as a child.

According to E! News 2 years ago Beyonce and Jay Z almost split for good. You know, during the time that infamous elevator video was released. But then they went to counseling and worked through the difficult time.

And B made Lemonade. Out of a lemon of a husband.

Clearly the infidelity affected B’s life in such a grave way she was motivated to write AN ENTIRE ALBUM ABOUT IT. To shed light to the world and as a healing method for herself. It appears her father’s infidelity toward her mother played a part as well.

Tidal (Jay Z’s music streaming service) describes Lemonade as a project about “every woman’s journey of self knowledge and healing,” and throughout the film, title cards plainly follow the steps of grief: Intuition, Denial, Anger, Apathy, Emptiness, Accountability, Reformation, Forgiveness, Resurrection, Hope, Redemption.

So needless to say the lines between art and real life are a tad blurry here.

The Lemonade visuals are so graphic and destructive that it’s clear this is a hugely emotional topic. And Beyonce decided to share it with us. This private-ish conflict between her and that uber famous husband.

Better than any tell all interview- a personal diary.

  1. I&#;7128ve been reading a lot about this lately and I agree, it all starts in your mind. It’s hard at first, but, soon, you slowly learn how to control your hunger pains. Once you can control your hunger pains, eating less becomes easier.
