6 Places To Go in Dallas, Texas

Gearing up for a Dallas filled weekend? Well, you’re gonna be hungry. And thirsty.

Here’s some tips to make your trip to Texas way more lively + delicious.

Great Mexican food. (Quail, anyone?)

But the reason to head here is BRUNCH. $1 mimosas. Need I say more?

This is in the Bishop Arts district, just south of Downtown.

A quaint district that you’ll definitely want to check out on your visit.

Save some room for dessert tho. After brunch, walk to my #2 pick.

2. Emporium Piesemporium pies texas

Just a couple blocks walk will take you to the best pie shop I’ve ever been to.

There may be a line out the door (or around the block) but chill. It’s worth the wait.

$5 a slice, but IMO a valuable deal.

I’m into chocolate stuff in general so if you are too then I highly emporium pies smooth operatorrecommend the following.

The Smooth Operator was exactly what a chocolate pie should be. With a pretzel crust.

Cloud Nine was a sweet caramel butterscotch fluffy custard delight.

Oh, and don’t forget to order some milk with it.

3. Chicken Scratch Restaurant

A casual perfect-for-groups outdoor restaurant near Kessler Park. I tried the first item on the menu (Spicy quinoa and veggie salad + chicken) and I’m still craving more of it. It’s worth ordering for the dressing alone.chicken scratch dallas

The lawn atmosphere is perfect for lunch and maybe some board games. Just throwin’ that out there.

Oh yeah, and there’s a bar attached. And a outdoor stage for live music.

So don’t fret if you head here for dinner, you’ll be well taken care of.

4. Citizen Cocktail Bar

If you’re looking for a sexy clubby night out then Citizen is a good bet.Citizen-Dallas_173302

It’s a brand new champagne bar featuringcitizen dallas bar bottle service, a DJ, and busty server girls.

It’s in Uptown which means you’re in for a crowd that’s out to be seen AKA acting like they think people in Los Angeles act.

I personally enjoyed the photo booth.

And outdoor patio.

And people watching.

5. The Rustic

Your go-to chill outdoor bar/ kitchen/ backyard.

Live music.

Texas-y atmosphere.

Hang out in the large outside space on the picnic tables if you’re looking to catch up with friends.the rustic dallas

Located right in the heart of Uptown, a trip to Dallas would pretty much not be complete without a trip to The Rustic.

Oh, and don’t let the valet out front fool you.

This is still Texas.

6. Trinity Groves

A restaurant mecca.

An eclectic mix of trendy n’ yummy restaurants all smack dab next to each other. So easy.

Sushi Bayashi.

Cake Bar.

Kate Weiser Chocolate. A unique chocolate experience and a must-try. Hand crafted truffles in the most unique flavors you’ve ever experienced. Sweet Potato bon bon, anyone?kateweiser_bonbon_opt

And there’s even more restaurants where that came from.
