Nicki’s 2nd MTV documentary arrived tonight. The hour long special took us from her VMA rehearsals, inside the recording studio, to a trip to her hometown Queens and inside a candid confessional. Here’s my favorite/ most shocking/ inspirational parts.

1. Nicki’s pep talk to her VMA backup dancers to dance more “hood”.

3. Beyonce’s wisdom about Nicki’s VMA wardrobe malfunction, “I gained so much for respect for you from the way you handled that.”

4. Nicki appreciating that her Queens neighborhood: “…they got like grass.”
